INTRODUCCI&Oacute;N<\/strong><\/h3><p>Explorar y encontrar tu identidad, incluida tu identidad de g&eacute;nero, puede suponer un recorrido dif&iacute;cil que puede incluir la baja autoestima, el cuestionamiento y la b&uacute;squeda de la propia persona, miedos y p&eacute;rdidas, pero tambi&eacute;n la alegr&iacute;a, el descubrimiento de s&iacute; mismo y el sentido de pertenencia. Parte de la identidad de una persona es el deseo de pertenecer a otras personas, pero este deseo puede ser un obst&aacute;culo para definir, aceptar y desvelar sin dolor su identidad de g&eacute;nero. Por lo tanto, es importante que, al educar a los j&oacute;venes, tambi&eacute;n debemos centrarnos en cuestiones de diversidad de g&eacute;nero.<\/p><p>Compartir informaci&oacute;n basada en la ciencia es una manera de apoyar a los j&oacute;venes en su viaje. Adem&aacute;s, abordar este tema da una se&ntilde;al clara a los j&oacute;venes de que las diferentes identidades y expresiones de g&eacute;nero son parte de la diversidad normal de la sociedad, lo que permite que el joven se convierta en un adulto seguro y feliz. En el mundo actual, donde, por ejemplo, la educaci&oacute;n sexual y los temas <a class=\"glossaryLink\" aria-describedby=\"tt\" data-cmtooltip=\"&lt;div class=glossaryItemTitle&gt;LGBTQ+&lt;\/div&gt;&lt;div class=glossaryItemBody&gt;&amp;lt;!-- wp:paragraph --&amp;gt;Lesbianas, gays, bisexuales, transg&eacute;nero, &amp;lt;em&amp;gt;queer&amp;lt;\/em&amp;gt; y otros&amp;lt;br\/&amp;gt;&amp;lt;!-- \/wp:paragraph --&amp;gt;&lt;\/div&gt;\" href=\"https:\/\/learn.gamingee.eu\/es\/glossary\/lgbtq\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-gt-translate-attributes='[{\"attribute\":\"data-cmtooltip\", \"format\":\"html\"}]' tabindex=\"0\" role=\"link\">LGBTQ+<\/a> a menudo se han convertido en temas politizados, es especialmente importante hablar con los j&oacute;venes sobre estos temas de manera abierta, valiente y utilizando un enfoque basado en la ciencia. Adem&aacute;s, hay disponible mucha informaci&oacute;n sobre las identidades de g&eacute;nero en las redes sociales y en diferentes series aperturistas, por lo que la generaci&oacute;n m&aacute;s joven a veces puede estar informada sobre el g&eacute;nero incluso de manera m&aacute;s diversa que sus padres o educadores.<\/p><h3>2.1.2.<strong> DESARROLLO DEL TEMA<\/strong><\/h3><p>Aunque el sexo biol&oacute;gico de una persona incluye anatom&iacute;a (senos, vagina, pene, test&iacute;culos), fisiolog&iacute;a (funcionamiento del sistema hormonal, ciclo menstrual, producci&oacute;n de esperma) y gen&eacute;tica (tipos de cromosomas) (<a class=\"glossaryLink\"  aria-describedby=\"tt\"  data-cmtooltip=\"&lt;div class=glossaryItemTitle&gt;OMS&lt;\/div&gt;&lt;div class=glossaryItemBody&gt;&amp;lt;!-- wp:paragraph --&amp;gt;Organizaci&oacute;n Mundial de la Salud.&amp;lt;br\/&amp;gt;&amp;lt;!-- \/wp:paragraph --&amp;gt;&lt;\/div&gt;\"  href=\"https:\/\/learn.gamingee.eu\/es\/glossary\/who\/\"  target=\"_blank\"  data-gt-translate-attributes='[{\"attribute\":\"data-cmtooltip\", \"format\":\"html\"}]'  tabindex='0' role='link'>OMS<\/a>, s.f.), al nacer el sexo de un reci&eacute;n nacido se asigna como masculino o femenino (algunos pa&iacute;ses ofrecen una tercera opci&oacute;n) principalmente en funci&oacute;n de los genitales del beb&eacute;. Identidad de g&eacute;nero<\/strong><\/h4><p>La <strong>identidad de g&eacute;nero<\/strong> se refiere a la experiencia de g&eacute;nero interna e individual de una persona, que puede coincidir o no con su fisiolog&iacute;a o el g&eacute;nero asignado al nacer (<a class=\"glossaryLink\"  aria-describedby=\"tt\"  data-cmtooltip=\"&lt;div class=glossaryItemTitle&gt;OMS&lt;\/div&gt;&lt;div class=glossaryItemBody&gt;&amp;lt;!-- wp:paragraph --&amp;gt;Organizaci&oacute;n Mundial de la Salud.&amp;lt;br\/&amp;gt;&amp;lt;!-- \/wp:paragraph --&amp;gt;&lt;\/div&gt;\"  href=\"https:\/\/learn.gamingee.eu\/es\/glossary\/who\/\"  target=\"_blank\"  data-gt-translate-attributes='[{\"attribute\":\"data-cmtooltip\", \"format\":\"html\"}]'  tabindex='0' role='link'>OMS<\/a>, n.d.). Dado que la identidad de g&eacute;nero es una experiencia personal, nadie m&aacute;s puede determinarla ni regularla. La identidad de g&eacute;nero puede ser hombre, mujer, no binaria, fluida, etc.<\/p><h4><strong>2.1.2.3. Desarrollo de la Identidad de G&eacute;nero<\/strong><\/h4><p>Durante los primeros a&ntilde;os de vida de los ni&ntilde;os estos aprenden los comportamientos que la sociedad espera de ellos en funci&oacute;n de su g&eacute;nero. Incluso si los ni&ntilde;os a&uacute;n no son capaces de hablar y no establecen conexiones con objetos y acciones del mundo que los rodea, se les asignan comportamientos correspondientes a su g&eacute;nero. Por ejemplo, los padres expresan entusiasmo cuando un ni&ntilde;o ha hecho algo que coincide con su g&eacute;nero y reaccionan de manera opuesta cuando un ni&ntilde;o se ha comportado de una manera apropiada para un ni&ntilde;o del sexo opuesto. Tales reacciones negativas y positivas est&aacute;n creando conexiones y se asentar&aacute;n en el futuro. Eso puede llevar a que las ni&ntilde;as comiencen a prestar m&aacute;s atenci&oacute;n a sus modelos de rol femeninos y los ni&ntilde;os a los modelos de rol masculinos, a pesar de que a&uacute;n no tienen ning&uacute;n conocimiento o experiencia sobre c&oacute;mo identificarse a s&iacute; mismos o a otros en base al g&eacute;nero. Desde el momento en que los ni&ntilde;os comienzan a comprender el habla, tambi&eacute;n comienzan a comprender que hay muchas etiquetas de g&eacute;nero. Durante su crecimiento, como resultado del procesamiento socio-cognitivo, los ni&ntilde;os comienzan a definirse como ni&ntilde;os o ni&ntilde;as, lo cual es el impulso para adquirir comportamientos apropiados al g&eacute;nero y caracter&iacute;sticas relacionadas con el g&eacute;nero (Marecek et al., 2004).<\/p><h4><strong>2.1.2.4. La identidad de los ni&ntilde;os Trans<\/strong><\/h4><p>El p&aacute;rrafo anterior describe una situaci&oacute;n que podr&iacute;a aplicarse a la mayor&iacute;a de los ni&ntilde;os, pero que no es aplicable a aquellos cuyo g&eacute;nero asignado al nacer y su identidad de g&eacute;nero no coinciden. Diversos hallazgos de investigaci&oacute;n indican que muchas de las preguntas y conflictos de las personas trans relacionadas con su identidad de g&eacute;nero han surgido en la primera infancia (Mason-Schrock, 1996; Morgan &amp; Stevens, 2008, citado en Patterson &amp; D&rsquo;Augelli, 2013). Dado que Kessler y McKenna (1978) concluyeron durante su investigaci&oacute;n que la identidad de g&eacute;nero comienza a entenderse a los tres o cuatro a&ntilde;os, y que pocos a&ntilde;os despu&eacute;s se entiende que es permanente, se puede determinar que surgen contradicciones en cuanto a la percepci&oacute;n de g&eacute;nero de los ni&ntilde;os, al mismo tiempo que el mundo que le rodea comienza a atribuir su g&eacute;nero social al g&eacute;nero biol&oacute;gico correspondiente. Cuando el g&eacute;nero social resulta ser diferente del sexo biol&oacute;gico, genera confusi&oacute;n en los ni&ntilde;os (Patterson &amp; D&rsquo;Augelli, 2013). Tambi&eacute;n se pueden observar hallazgos similares en los estudios de Gagne et al. (1997), Devor (2004) y Budge et al. (2013) &ndash; los encuestados de todos los estudios ya sent&iacute;an en la primera infancia que el g&eacute;nero asignado al nacer les causaba malestar y sent&iacute;an que no encajaban con los dem&aacute;s.<\/p><p>El estudio de la Universidad de Washington, el m&aacute;s grande de su categor&iacute;a, public&oacute; hallazgos que muestran que no importa cu&aacute;nto tiempo un ni&ntilde;o trans haya sido considerado y tratado como un ni&ntilde;o <a class=\"glossaryLink\"  aria-describedby=\"tt\"  data-cmtooltip=\"&lt;div class=glossaryItemTitle&gt;Cis&lt;\/div&gt;&lt;div class=glossaryItemBody&gt;&amp;lt;!-- wp:paragraph --&amp;gt;Latin prefix meaning &amp;quot;on the same side as&rdquo; and is therefore an antonym of &amp;quot;trans-&amp;quot;.&amp;lt;br\/&amp;gt;&amp;lt;!-- \/wp:paragraph --&amp;gt;&lt;\/div&gt;\"  href=\"https:\/\/learn.gamingee.eu\/es\/glossary\/cis\/\"  target=\"_blank\"  data-gt-translate-attributes='[{\"attribute\":\"data-cmtooltip\", \"format\":\"html\"}]'  tabindex='0' role='link'>cis<\/a>, su identidad de g&eacute;nero es tan fuerte como la de los ni&ntilde;os cisg&eacute;nero. Comprender estos hallazgos podr&iacute;a ayudar a los adultos a apoyar mejor a los ni&ntilde;os durante su desarrollo, durante la creaci&oacute;n de su identidad de g&eacute;nero y en sus transiciones sociales.<\/p><h4><strong>2.1.2.5. Sistemas de g&eacute;nero binarios y no binarios <\/strong><\/h4><p>Seg&uacute;n el sistema de g&eacute;nero binario, las personas se dividen en dos &ndash; hombres y mujeres, y esto se debe al sexo que se les asign&oacute; al nacer. De acuerdo con el sistema de g&eacute;nero no binario, cuerpo, identidad y expresi&oacute;n son identidades que est&aacute;n separadas y, en ocasiones, pueden no coincidir (<a class=\"glossaryLink\" aria-describedby=\"tt\" data-cmtooltip=\"&lt;div class=glossaryItemTitle&gt;Gender&lt;\/div&gt;&lt;div class=glossaryItemBody&gt;&amp;lt;!-- wp:paragraph --&amp;gt;A social and cultural construct, which distinguishes differences in the attributes of men and women, girls, and boys, and accordingly refers to the roles and responsibilities of men and women.&amp;lt;br\/&amp;gt;&amp;lt;!-- \/wp:paragraph --&amp;gt;&lt;\/div&gt;\" href=\"https:\/\/learn.gamingee.eu\/es\/glossary\/gender\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-gt-translate-attributes='[{\"attribute\":\"data-cmtooltip\", \"format\":\"html\"}]' tabindex=\"0\" role=\"link\">Gender<\/a> Spectrum, n.d.). Sumado a eso, el espectro de identidad de g&eacute;nero se considera m&aacute;s amplio que solo la distinci&oacute;n entre hombre y mujer.<\/p><p>Aunque en la cultura occidental actual, todav&iacute;a tendemos a ver el g&eacute;nero como un sistema binario, cuando en realidad el sistema de g&eacute;nero siempre ha sido no binario. Diversos estudios antropol&oacute;gicos e hist&oacute;ricos as&iacute; lo demuestran, y a&uacute;n hoy en muchas culturas antiguas, el sistema de g&eacute;nero no binario sigue siendo una apariencia funcional (United Nations Free and Equal, 2014).<\/p><p>El enfoque no binario del sistema de g&eacute;nero permite que las personas transg&eacute;nero e <strong>intersexuales<\/strong> se expresen de acuerdo con su identidad y es inclusivo y respetuoso con ellas. <\/p><h4><strong>2.1.2.6. Diversidad de Identidades de G&eacute;nero<\/strong><\/h4><ul><li><strong>Cisg&eacute;nero<\/strong>: Una persona cuya identidad de g&eacute;nero est&aacute; alineada con el sexo que se le asign&oacute; al nacer, describe a las personas que no son transg&eacute;nero. &ldquo;<strong><a class=\"glossaryLink\"  aria-describedby=\"tt\"  data-cmtooltip=\"&lt;div class=glossaryItemTitle&gt;Cis&lt;\/div&gt;&lt;div class=glossaryItemBody&gt;&amp;lt;!-- wp:paragraph --&amp;gt;Latin prefix meaning &amp;quot;on the same side as&rdquo; and is therefore an antonym of &amp;quot;trans-&amp;quot;.&amp;lt;br\/&amp;gt;&amp;lt;!-- \/wp:paragraph --&amp;gt;&lt;\/div&gt;\"  href=\"https:\/\/learn.gamingee.eu\/es\/glossary\/cis\/\"  target=\"_blank\"  data-gt-translate-attributes='[{\"attribute\":\"data-cmtooltip\", \"format\":\"html\"}]'  tabindex='0' role='link'>Cis<\/a><\/strong>-&rdquo; es un prefijo latino que significa &ldquo;del mismo lado que&rdquo; y, por lo tanto, es un ant&oacute;nimo de &ldquo;trans-&ldquo;. Com&uacute;nmente utilizado por personas j&oacute;venes y personas transg&eacute;nero (GLAAD, n.d.).<\/li><li><strong>Persona transg&eacute;nero (persona trans)<\/strong>: Una persona cuya identidad de g&eacute;nero es diferente al sexo que le fue asignado al nacer. Una persona trans tambi&eacute;n puede usar otros t&eacute;rminos, adem&aacute;s de trans, para describir su g&eacute;nero de manera m&aacute;s espec&iacute;fica. Ser trans no depende de la apariencia f&iacute;sica ni de los procedimientos m&eacute;dicos &ndash; una persona puede llamarse trans en el momento en que se da cuenta de que su identidad de g&eacute;nero es diferente al sexo que se le asign&oacute; al nacer (GLAAD, n.d.).<\/li><li><strong>Identidad de g&eacute;nero no binaria<\/strong>: Algunas personas no encajan en las categor&iacute;as de &ldquo;hombre&rdquo; o &ldquo;mujer&rdquo;, o &ldquo;masculino&rdquo; o &ldquo;femenino&rdquo;. Por ejemplo, algunas personas se identifican con m&aacute;s de un g&eacute;nero, o con un g&eacute;nero que no es ni masculino ni femenino. Algunas personas no se identifican con ning&uacute;n g&eacute;nero. Algunas personas tienen una identidad de g&eacute;nero fluctuante. Las identidades no binarias caen bajo el paraguas transg&eacute;nero (GLAAD, n.d.). Otros t&eacute;rminos adem&aacute;s de no binario pueden ser gen&eacute;ro <a class=\"glossaryLink\" aria-describedby=\"tt\" data-cmtooltip=\"&lt;div class=glossaryItemTitle&gt;Queer&lt;\/div&gt;&lt;div class=glossaryItemBody&gt;&amp;lt;!-- wp:paragraph --&amp;gt;An adjective used by some people whose sexual orientation is not exclusively heterosexual or straight. This umbrella term includes people who have nonbinary, gender-fluid, or gender nonconforming identities.&amp;lt;br\/&amp;gt;&amp;lt;!-- \/wp:paragraph --&amp;gt;&lt;\/div&gt;\" href=\"https:\/\/learn.gamingee.eu\/es\/glossary\/queer\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-gt-translate-attributes='[{\"attribute\":\"data-cmtooltip\", \"format\":\"html\"}]' tabindex=\"0\" role=\"link\">queer<\/a>, ag&eacute;nero, big&eacute;nero y m&aacute;s. Ninguno de estos t&eacute;rminos significa exactamente lo mismo &ndash; pero com&uacute;nmente se entiende que es la experiencia de g&eacute;nero que no es expl&iacute;citamente masculina o femenina (Centro Nacional para la Igualdad Transg&eacute;nero, 2018).<\/li><\/ul><p>Las diferentes etiquetas de g&eacute;nero pueden significar cosas diferentes para las personas, eso significa que, si una persona le revela su identidad de g&eacute;nero a otra, puede pedirle que le explique lo que eso significa para ella. En ese caso, ser&aacute; m&aacute;s f&aacute;cil para usted brindar apoyo como maestro o padre.<\/p><h3><i class=\"fa-light fas fa-balance-scale-right\"><\/i> &ndash; 2.1.3. SITUACIONES DE DISCRIMINACI&Oacute;N RELACIONADAS CON EL TEMA &ndash; <i class=\"fa-light fas fa-balance-scale-left\"><\/i><\/h3><p>Un ni&ntilde;o transg&eacute;nero le pide al personal de la escuela que use su nombre elegido y los pronombres &eacute;l\/ella en el futuro.<\/p><p>La mayor&iacute;a de los maestros tratan de usar el nombre y el pronombre solicitados por el joven, pero todav&iacute;a hay un maestro en la escuela que contin&uacute;a ignorando la autodeterminaci&oacute;n del ni&ntilde;o y usa su antiguo nombre (<em>deadnaming<\/em>) y lo llama ni&ntilde;a (malentendido) cuando se dirige a &eacute;l. El ni&ntilde;o llama repetidamente la atenci&oacute;n del maestro sobre el uso del nombre y el g&eacute;nero incorrectos, pero el maestro contin&uacute;a con su actividad.<\/p><p>Esta situaci&oacute;n es discriminatoria, inexacta y enga&ntilde;osa hacia el estudiante y dependiendo de las leyes adoptadas puede ser una violaci&oacute;n de los derechos de privacidad y autodeterminaci&oacute;n y expresi&oacute;n del ni&ntilde;o. En tal situaci&oacute;n, se recomienda que los padres se comuniquen con la administraci&oacute;n de la escuela para obtener ayuda. Es importante explicarle a la direcci&oacute;n que usar el nombre y el g&eacute;nero preferido del ni&ntilde;o es un enfoque que salva vidas para los ni&ntilde;os trans.<\/p><p>En caso de discriminaci&oacute;n, la escuela siempre debe preguntar al ni&ntilde;o qu&eacute; tipo de apoyo necesitar&iacute;a para sentirse seguro despu&eacute;s de tal situaci&oacute;n.<\/p><p>Si el ni&ntilde;o no puede decir por s&iacute; mismo qu&eacute; le ayudar&iacute;a a sentirse seguro e incluido, se recomienda pedir consejo a una organizaci&oacute;n <a class=\"glossaryLink\" aria-describedby=\"tt\" data-cmtooltip=\"&lt;div class=glossaryItemTitle&gt;LGBTQ+&lt;\/div&gt;&lt;div class=glossaryItemBody&gt;&amp;lt;!-- wp:paragraph --&amp;gt;Lesbianas, gays, bisexuales, transg&eacute;nero, &amp;lt;em&amp;gt;queer&amp;lt;\/em&amp;gt; y otros&amp;lt;br\/&amp;gt;&amp;lt;!-- \/wp:paragraph --&amp;gt;&lt;\/div&gt;\" href=\"https:\/\/learn.gamingee.eu\/es\/glossary\/lgbtq\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-gt-translate-attributes='[{\"attribute\":\"data-cmtooltip\", \"format\":\"html\"}]' tabindex=\"0\" role=\"link\">LGBTQ+<\/a> con experiencia en el campo de la educaci&oacute;n. Se recomienda que los temas de g&eacute;nero no se traten por separado de los temas principales, sino que se integren naturalmente en el curr&iacute;culo.<\/li><li>H&aacute;gase visible para los ni&ntilde;os usando los s&iacute;mbolos <a class=\"glossaryLink\" aria-describedby=\"tt\" data-cmtooltip=\"&lt;div class=glossaryItemTitle&gt;LGBTQ+&lt;\/div&gt;&lt;div class=glossaryItemBody&gt;&amp;lt;!-- wp:paragraph --&amp;gt;Lesbianas, gays, bisexuales, transg&eacute;nero, &amp;lt;em&amp;gt;queer&amp;lt;\/em&amp;gt; y otros&amp;lt;br\/&amp;gt;&amp;lt;!-- \/wp:paragraph --&amp;gt;&lt;\/div&gt;\" href=\"https:\/\/learn.gamingee.eu\/es\/glossary\/lgbtq\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-gt-translate-attributes='[{\"attribute\":\"data-cmtooltip\", \"format\":\"html\"}]' tabindex=\"0\" role=\"link\">LGBTQ+<\/a> o manteni&eacute;ndolos en su clase. De esta manera, un estudiante puede estar seguro de qui&eacute;n es el adulto que lo apoya en su escuela. Los estudiantes necesitan identificar qui&eacute;n es el personal que le puede dar seguridad en la escuela, a qui&eacute;n pueden acudir si es necesario.
